Anthony Maietta, PTAnthony Maietta is a holistic physical therapist who works with adults and children incorporating manual therapies to promote healing from within. This holistic approach to physical therapy allows him to diagnosis and treat the root causes of pain, dysfunction, disease and disability without invasive procedures or drugs. By using unique modalities, such as craniosacral therapy and myofascial release, the natural healing power of the body is facilitated and the emotional and spiritual needs of each individual are addressed.
Anthony had began his studies at Quinnipiac University where he had received a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy and is currently licensed in Connecticut and Massachusetts. As his studies progressed and as he began practicing traditional physical therapy, he felt more strongly that it imposed limitations to the healing process and did not fully serve the patient. His desire to offer a broader, more integrated program of health and wellness prompted his ultimate pursuit of craniosacral therapy and myofascial release techniques.
With these tools he established physical therapy centers in both Massachusetts and Connecticut where he has treated patients from infancy to 90, giving them relief from pain and dysfunction, and the joy of improved whole-body health and performance.
The techniques are unfamiliar to many people, but offer so much in the way of hope and relief from pain and disability. These treatments have helped many people with a wide array of symptoms including but not limited to: chronic pain, musculoskeletal pain syndromes, headaches and migraines, TMJ syndrome, fibromyalgia, learning disabilities including ADD/ADHD, IBS, acid reflux, vestibular disorders, brain and spinal cord injuries and so on.
The effectiveness of his approach is well summed up by a woman who came to Anthony after enduring more than 6 years of pain and frustration: “I can now walk without pain in my foot, knees or back ... I can wear summer sandals ... flat-heeled dress shoes ... get out of bed and touch my heels to the ground ... threw my orthotics in the trash ... The physical and emotional transformation is overwhelming ...”
